Over the 6 years TFI has been running an internship program, the company has seen 27 interns overall, with 2 currently in a senior management role. I am a mentor and current Business Analyst at Contrans, exemplifying the growth and potential the company offers to its employees. In 2019, I discovered the Contrans group of companies without any prior knowledge or direction in the transportation industry. Beginning as a Solutions Analyst during my internship, I quickly earned the trust of management, received strong support for my decisions, and relished the positive office environment that fostered a sense of camaraderie. After completing my internship, I not only found my career path in the transportation industry but also continued working part-time during the rest of my undergraduate education. Today, I serve as a mentor for the McMaster student internship program, hold a full-time Business Analyst position, and have become an invaluable resource for those seeking assistance.
